12 months mould free guarantee

Guarantee Coverage:
‍AirEffect guarantees that the indoor evaporator coils will remain mould-free for a minimum period of 12 months following a Deluxe Clean decontamination wash, starting from the date of service.
The 12-month guarantee is valid only for 12 months from the initial service application date. If any re-treatments are applied within this period, the guarantee does not restart from the re-treated application date.

Warranty Claims Process:
‍If you observe mould on the indoor evaporator coils within the warranty period, please contact us at 027 395 2742 or email info@aireffect.co.nz. This warranty will be void if the covered equipment is serviced or cleaned by any contractor other than an AirEffect technician during the warranty period. Normal contamination and dirt buildup on other parts of the heat pump are not covered by this warranty.

Warranty Exemptions:
‍The AirEffect 12-Month Warranty does not apply to heat pumps located in the following environments:
- Kitchens
- Beauty salons
- Hairdressers
- Massage therapy rooms
- Manufacturing plants
- Food production areas
- Bakeries
- Smoking rooms

Do you also clean the outdoor unit?

Yes, the outdoor unit clean is included in the price.

Why does my heat pump smell when I turn it on?

A musty or smelly heat pump usually requires professional cleaning and is typically caused by mould and other microbial contamination within the air conditioner. To continue breathing clean air, we recommend cleaning your heat pumps as soon as it begins to smell.

How often should heat pumps be cleaned in the Bay of Plenty region?

It is recommended to have your heat pumps professionally cleaned at least once a year to keep your aircon healthy and trouble-free.

How much does it cost to have a heat pump professionally cleaned in the Bay of Plenty region?

AirEffect’s thorough decontamination wash starts from $149 for the first unit and $119 for each additional unit.

Can mould grow inside a heat pump?

Yes, mould thrives in damp conditions, which is why it loves heat pump units.
